The repertoire of Dutch Courage consists of seasongs, shanties, ballads and instrumentals, all with a nautical background or connection with the sea, and in our own style.

Dutch Courage sings in the Dutch and English language and even in Frisian, a local Dutch dialect. Logical with two Frisians in the group.
In our search for new songs we found lyrics in old, dusty books and almanacs which we brought back to life with new melodies. We also write and compose new songs that fit the tradition.

Examples of our repertoire are collected on the CD "Dronkemansmoed" (the Dutch word for Dutch Courage), which was recorded in 2003 in cooperation with the Enhuizer Almanak Museum. There is a link to the site of the Enkhuizer Almanak on the Media-page for more information about this CD, or to listen to a few fragments of our music.

Naturally Dutch Courage also likes to perform live. In the Netherlands, but also frequently in other countries.
A few examples: In 2005 we performed on the International Festival Of the Sea (IFOS) in Portsmouth, England. In 2004 and 2007 we were on-stage at the Seafever Festival in Hull and in 2003 we even made a small tour in the United States.
But it doesn't matter were we go to perform. Singing and entertaining people remain our hobby and goal.
